DESCRIPTION:All are welcome to join us for a summery hike along theRound the Mountain Trail at 10a.m. on Thursday\, August 1st! We willmeet at the Thorndike Brook Trailhead (223 Hope Rd.) and hike approximately 2miles total on an out-and-back path.  \nHappy Wanderers is our monthly hiking group hosted incollaboration with Maine Health’s Community Health program. These hikes takeplace at different trails throughout Knox and Waldo Counties. Each walk is ledby a staff member from Coastal Mountains Land Trust and Community Health.  \nSummer is a beautiful time to observe wildflowers\,butterflies\, and mushrooms along this awesome\, multi-use trail! No tickets or registration required.\nFor the quickest route up the hill\, park at the main trailhead located at 316 Beech Hill Rd. From the trailhead\, the top is a 0.6 mile walk up a steady incline.

This hiking series isled by Waldo County Conservation Initiative committee member Bindy Pendleton.Each walk explores a different Waldo County trail.  \nOur August hike will take place at Main Stream Preserve inStockton Springs on Wednesday\, August 14th at 10a.m. \nDirections: FromStockton Springs\, take Route 1 north\, then turn onto Harris Road by Just Barb’sRestaurant.
