Kites & Ice Cream in the Time of COVID-19
Thank you to the Onion Foundation for supporting the 8th Annual Kites and Ice Cream event this September! The event will be very different this year. There will not be a mass flying of kites – instead we welcome you to come and get a free kite and a free ice cream voucher (for Camden Cone) and enjoy both at a time that works for your family. Don't forget your mask!!
Thursday, September 10 from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. Register here
Friday, September 11 from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. Register here
Saturday, September 12 from 10 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Register here
Each pick up session has a maximum of 50 children. The links will inform you if that day’s event is full and you may try to register for another day.
While you are welcome to go up the hill and fly your kite when you pick it up, we are encouraging you to get them and come back or discover another preserve so that we don’t have too many people at one time.
Please park at the grass overflow lot – watch for signs. Then walk up the trail to receive your kite and voucher at the main gates. The Blueberry Barn Lot will be reserved for preserve visitors. No dogs allowed when you come to get your kites.
Thank you Camden Cone: they will be closing for the season on Saturday, September 26 so be sure to get down there with your voucher before then.
