Our Mountain Voices on September 22 nearly filled the Camden Opera House!
35 people were on stage, with MC Graham Phaup - artists, musicians, a poet and an ecologist to share their appreciation for our coastal mountains. They were impressive.
On the 3rd floor folks were impressed by the artwork done by 41 people using slabs of wood. It was quite a show of creativity and the silent auction raised over $6,600.
The audience also learned about t he Round the Mountain Collaboration, a campaign to purchase easements on 1,400 acres of land protecting Mirror Lake and Grassy Pond and build a 9-mile trail around Ragged Mountain. Executive Director Ian Stewart issued a challenge to help raise $100,000 with matching gifts made from the community. A big thank you to everyone for your involvement and creativity!
