Land Trust Offers FREE Blueberry Pick at Beech Hill Preserve!
July 25, 2019
Coastal Mountains Land Trust invites the public to participate in the 17th annual free blueberry pick held on Saturday, August 3 from 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 pm. Rain date is Sunday, August 4.
The Land Trust is excited to once again open a portion of the 25-acre organic blueberry farm for a free community blueberry pick. Staff and volunteers will be on hand to welcome and orient people to areas open for picking.
Participants must bring their own containers and be prepared for a moderate walk up the hill to the picking fields. Raking is NOT permitted and due to health concerns, dogs are NOT allowed on our fields, so please leave dogs at home. We encourage you to wear sturdy shoes, bring a sunhat and plenty of water, and some people appreciate having a small folding camp stool.
Please note that fields are only open to the public on this annual free pick date and only in designated pick areas. At all other times, the Land Trust requests that Preserve visitors stay off the fields, which are being managed and harvested as part of the organic farm operation.
