Monarch Story Hour and Butterfly Release at Head of Tide Preserve
July 25, 2019
Belfast Free Library and Coastal Mountains Land Trust are collaborating on a Monarch Story Hour at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 2nd at the Head of Tide Preserve, Doak Road in Belfast.
The library’s regularly scheduled Friday storytime will move outside with a focus on monarchs. We will be releasing several butterflies that children have been able to visit at the library as they went through the pupal stage into adult butterflies.
Come dressed for the outdoors and park along Doak Road on the preserve side. Children will hear stories and participate in an activity. All library and land trust programs are free and open to the public.
RSVP's are helpful but not required: email@example.com.
Coastal Mountains Land Trust has worked since 1986 to permanently conserve land to benefit the natural and human communities of the western Penobscot Bay. The Land Trust has protected over 12,000 acres, offering 45 miles of trails for public recreation.
The Belfast Free Library is dedicated to helping individuals of all ages pursue independent learning by providing access to timely and useful information in all formats.
