Wednesday Waldo Walk: Fernalds Neck

This hike is being lead by our outstanding volunteer, Bindy Pendleton. Her deep family roots in mid-coast Maine, paired with her ecologist’s eye, allow her to weave together stories of local conservation coupled with spontaneous natural historical observations.
This is a moderate 2 to 3.5 -mile loop which includes hemlock groves, glacial erratics, stands of mature pines, a plethora of mushroom species, and views of Megunticook lake.
Bring: water, sunscreen, tick protection, and binoculars, if you would like.
Ride share: If you are interested in carpooling from Belfast, feel free to meet Bindy in the Reny’s parking lot at 9:30 am.
Please call Bindybefore Wednesday Sept. 10 for additional carpooling details. 207-323-0817
