Look for

The northernmost Atlantic white cedar stand on the East Coast New England bluets, a damselfly species White-tailed deer wintering grounds Painted turtles and carnivorous pitcher plants An area of entirely unblemished beech trees, apparently resistant to the beech bark disease

Directions

From Lincolnville Beach, take Route 1 north 5.3 miles, then turn left onto Beech Hill Road in Northport for 2.5 miles. Take a left onto Knights Pond Road and park at the end of this dirt road by the pond.

History

Transferred in 2015 by The Nature Conservancy. Initial donation in 1962 by Cary Bok and second parcel in 1988 by the Gautschi family.
