Happy Wanderers Hike: Clark Island

This month our monthly Happy Wanderers hike will be at Maine Coast Heritage Trust’s (MCHT) Clark Island Preserve in St. George.

We will meet at 10 a.m. on Thursday, October 2nd for a walk with MCHT’s exceptional Regional Stewardship Manager, Kirk Gentalen, who will share the island’s ecological insights.  

FYI, this month we will be focused on observing fascinating nature sightings and less on accomplishing mileage.  We may end up wandering a mile or less, depending on how many amazing birds, plants, and mammal signs we stop to admire.

Parking is limited, so we will be meet at the overflow parking area .75 miles before the island.  We will be providing rides to the trailhead in our Land Trust truck.
