Nature Program: Vernal Pool Parties part 2

Join Maine Master Naturalist, Ama LaBelle, for this second of a 2-part series that dives into the mysteries of vernal pools at Tanglewood 4H in Lincolnville.

We’ll discuss what vernal pools are, why they are unique and important habitats, and what kinds of life they support. We’ll also spend time exploring the pool with nets and hand lenses!

This series gives us the chance to see how things change and grow!  Participants are welcome to attend either or both events.  Fair warning: If you attend this program, you will almost certainly want to come to the second, to see if eggs have hatched or if the tadpoles have grown legs…
