The Coastal Mountains Nature Program is a series of monthly walks from April to October, exploring the natural history of Midcoast Maine.
All events take place on the first Saturday of the month from 10 a.m. until noon unless otherwise specified. Each walk has a particular area of focus, led by a knowledgeable leader, and participants are encouraged to share their knowledge of anything that we discover.
From vernal pools to mushrooms and other fungi, geology and botany, these walks are free and open to the public, and are a terrific way to meet new people and learn about the natural history of our area. Hope to see you out on the trail!
