Wednesday Waldo Walk: Hatchet Mountain Preserve

RESCHEDULED FROM WEDNESDAY 10/8 TO THURSDAY 10/9 DUE TO RAIN! Join Coastal Mountains volunteer, Bindy Pendleton, as she guides hikers up Hatchet Mountain in Hope. Total milage up and down is 1.2m. This hike is very difficult (by Midcoast Maine standards) over an old road that zig-zags interspersing steep with flat. From parking lot elevation gain is roughly 540ft. Average time 1.5 hr. with several stops along the way to absorb Fall views of Camden Hills and nearby Hobbs Pond.
Please register with CMLT /leaht@coastalmountains.org
Those interested in carpooling from Belfast, meet Bindy in the Reny’s parking lot by 9:30AM & contacting her ahead of time @207-323-0817.
Directions: From Camden, take Route 105 out of Camden to Hope Center. At Hope Center, take a left onto Hatchet Mountain Road, Route 235, and drive just over 0.5 miles to parking area on the right.
